Welcome to the eight installment of The Decades Edition for AXO Omega Alumnae. The Decades Edition is an ongoing series in which Sigma Psi Sigma, the virtual AXO Omega Alumnae Chapter, profiles alumnae from different decades. Check out these other AXO Omega Decades Editions: 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. Each profile celebrates an inspirational and energizing sister. We hope these profiles inspire you to connect with an AXO Omega sister or two.
Introducing Mya Koth-Richardson 2021
Tracy Issacson and I met Mya on a rainy Sunday afternoon in December to interview her for The Decades Edition. And it was an absolute treat! Like many Omegas, Mya exudes intelligence, ambition, warmth, interpersonal skills, and leadership. We had so much fun talking with her that we lost track of time and made her late for work. Ooops.

Mya is a third generation Coug who made her way from Bothell, WA to the Palouse during the turbulent year of 2021.
But it would take more than a worldwide pandemic to dim Mya’s light. Lucky for Alpha Chi Omega, Mya brought enough good vibes and positive energy to power a city!
Mya embraced the Alpha Chi sisterhood with vigor and if you scroll through her Instagram you’ll see that she is surrounded by her sisters in nearly every photo.
Through her four years at WSU, you could find Mya cheering at all the home football games, commanding all the best Halloween parties, tabling at Donut Love Hurt (supporting Alternatives to Violence in the Palouse), and enthusiastically hugging her sisters at every chance. I got the sense that she's the kind of friend that listens attentively and offers the kindest support.
Fiercely Intelligent

Mya plays hard and works hard.
This fiercely intelligent lady held leadership positions as the DEI Chair in 2023 and VP, Finance in 2024. She was a recruitment committeem member in 2023.
She graduatled in 2024 with dual degrees: BA, Economics as well as a BA, Public Relations. And; yes. Those are completely different skill sets.
Her comfort zone is always growing. She's never met a stranger, thrives on live music, and has a thirst for travel. She's been to Tokyo, Maui, Italy, Croatia, and more!

Post Graduation Life
While working as a Beertender at Stoup Brewing, Mya is looking for her next career adventure. In a perfect world, the role would leverage her keen business skills, natural interpersonal skills, and enthusiastic personality while offering regular travel.
IMO, I told her she should go live in NYC for a year and I hope she takes my advice.
Mya is an absolute beacon of goodness and we can’t wait to see what she does in the next few years.
Mya Koth-Richardson – We are proud to call you Sister!
